Kamikaze Test Dummies

Crazy Sick Duo- DJ B-Naut and Maku combine their eclectic mash-up styles to create unique sound and video fusion that will compel crowds to dance all night long. DJ B-Naut is a seasoned remix artist from Atlanta, Georgia with over 18 years of experience behind the decks. He was reviewed on film director Kevin Smith’s website QuickStop.com as, “the Dr. Moreau of DJs who will commit sonic crimes against nature and society” because of he is known for playing unusual but infectious Electro House mashups of everything ranging from Top40 to Retro Classics to Hip Hop and Hard Rock …all in the same show. As reviewed on NeedCoffee.com: "DJ B-Naut will commit sonic crimes against God and humanity splicing music that should never be mixed together and makes it work anyway. This guy is a certified madman!" DJ B-Naut has toured the East Coast at hundreds of nightclubs, live radio sets, DJ competitions, and remix contests. He has even let his geek flag fly at several sci-fi festivals including appearances at Dragon*Con, Outworld, AnachroCon, Sci Fi Summer, and Frolicon while being surrounded by Stormtroopers and Trekkies booty shaking in full uniform. B-Naut spent a year performing with the acclaimed indie Rock Fusion band Detroit Mutant Radio as their resident turntablist. Through the years, he has shared stages with legends like RUN DMC, Biz Markie, Chuck D of Public Enemy, DJ Red Alert, Richard "Humpty" Vission, Dynamixx II, DJ Magic Mike, Dangermouse and many others. Maku started on the path like many other DJs, for his love of the music. Classically trained as a violinist, he made the most logical next step - stepping to the decks. Starting with trance and house music, he found his true love with breaks, house, remixes and mashups. In his first few years he spun a few house parties but nothing really big until he answered another call to join the Marines. The USMC gave him a chance to hear different styles from around the world. After spending a year in California and a year in Japan, Maku came back to the East coast USA working hard on his passion for music. Spinning at East Carolina University frat parties and other functions around the state, Maku came back to Atlanta to perform at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2008. Maku has been seen spinning at some of the South East’s most prestigious night clubs. What Maku brings is a seasoned old school style of mixing with new school flavor. He is an avid Anime junkie who has been a fanboy since he was 13. In 2011, Kamikaze Text Dummies exploded on the scene in Atlanta as a hot new remix duo and since then has been featured at Quad Atlanta, Frequency, and Stoned Studios. They now make their debut at Anime Weekend Atlanta and are super excited to join the festivities.
